Editions and licensing
NexusGRC Compliance comes in two editions, Standard and Advanced. The edition is carried by the Atlassian licence of the installation.
You see it in Jira's "Manage apps", not in the app.

The twelve roles (six standard and six managers), granting to a Jira group and the auditor role are in both editions.
The frameworks that can be assessed today are ISO 27001 and SOC 2, in both editions.
What an edition does not unlock stays visible, instead of failing. The assistant's buttons stay visible with the "Advanced edition" label and the sentence "This feature is part of the Advanced edition"; they make no call. In the action plan, the "Assistant" block answers with a "Standard answer" that says "The AI assistant is part of the Advanced edition". In the Jira query form, the "Changements approuvés" and "Incidents résolus" choices carry the "Advanced edition" label; the free query stays allowed in Standard. In the "Assets" tab, choosing JSM Assets as the source carries the same label. The "Generate the audit pack" button is not available in Standard, and the screen explains why.
The trial includes a preview of the AI assistant, limited to about 30 proposals. Once it is used up, the assistant gives the standard answer and the screen says the assistant trial is over and the assistant is included in the paid Advanced subscription. The rest of the app, and every other Advanced feature, keeps working.
The action is blocked, not the data. A JSM snapshot that was already frozen stays readable and exportable in Standard. The assets of the light register, the objects already read from JSM Assets and the source settings stay in place; nothing is deleted. What is no longer possible in Standard: previewing, adding or freezing a JSM preset again, and reading or syncing JSM Assets.
Prices
This documentation gives no price. The price and the terms of a trial are those that the app's listing shows on the Atlassian Marketplace, once that listing is published. The licence covers all users of the Jira site, not only those who open the app.
Without an active licence
If the licence is not active (expired, cancelled, absent), the app becomes read-only:
- the "Licence inactive" banner appears at the top of the screens;
- you can still open and read every screen, and download your evidence files;
- every change is refused with the message "Your licence does not allow this action.": assessment, statuses, evidence, file uploads, risks, assets, audits, access reviews, monitoring settings;
- your data is not deleted.
A Jira administrator renews the subscription in "Manage apps". The app regains its normal rights on reactivation.
Special cases
- No readable licence object. If Jira provides no licence, or the environment cannot be determined, the app is read-only: it fails toward the cautious side, never toward opening up.
- Unknown edition. If the licence is active but the edition cannot be read, the app applies the Standard edition.
